James "Bubba" Robert Anthony Sr.
April 19, 1946 - July 19, 2026
James Robert Anthony Sr., “Bubba”, of Salina, KS, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Bubba was born on April 19, 1946, in Henderson, TX, to JR and Nora Lee (Lewis) Anthony. Both parents preceded him in death.
Bubba worked for Exide for 40 years as a forklift driver. He is an alumni of Dunbar School. Bubba served as a member of Eagles for many years where he won Mr. and Mrs. Eagle of the Year with his wife, Oralee, in 2015 - 2016.
Bubba is survived by his wife Oralee Anthony. They were married October 26, 2007. They have been together for 48 loving years.
His surviving children include Tiffany Cooper (Frederick), James Hermes (Hollie), Helen Briscoe (Ronald), Andrew Anthony, and James Anthony Jr. Bubba is preceded in death by his son, Justin Anthony.
His surviving sisters include Jonnie Nell Cox, Voncel Payne, Karetha Smith, and Ordelia Simon. He’s preceded in death by sisters Jonnie Marie Jackson aka Sister and Sandra Lee Stith.
He has 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as a ton of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5 -8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N 8th St, Salina, with a funeral service to follow on Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at Ryan Mortuary.
Memorials may be made in Bubba’s honor to the family in care of Ryan Mortuary.
