Salina Man Arrested Following Investigation Into Alleged Road Rage Incidents

A Salina man has been arrested following an investigation into a series of alleged road rage and reckless driving incidents that police believe may be connected.

On July 22, 2026, officers arrested Dylan Morgenstern in connection with an incident that occurred on July 1 at approximately 1:30 p.m. According to the Salina Police Department, a 46-year-old woman reported she was preparing to exit the Walmart parking lot at 2900 S. Ninth Street and turn onto Schilling Road when a white Nissan pickup truck turned off Schilling into the wrong lane, nearly striking her vehicle.

The driver, later identified as Morgenstern, allegedly displayed an obscene gesture toward the woman and began yelling at her before continuing through the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

During a separate incident reported on July 12, police received information about a white Nissan Frontier pickup that allegedly swerved into oncoming traffic while the driver was making obscene gestures toward other motorists in the area of Kenwood Park Drive.

As officers investigated, they became aware of social media posts describing similar encounters involving a white Nissan Frontier in various locations around Salina. Investigators contacted individuals who had reported or posted about the incidents and developed information indicating the driver may have been intentionally driving toward other vehicles.

Using FLOCK camera technology, officers determined the same vehicle was involved in multiple incidents. The investigation ultimately identified Morgenstern as the driver.

Morgenstern was booked into the Saline County Jail on one count of aggravated assault and one count of reckless driving. Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are expected.
