Salina Traffic Citation Drop After Mid-July Burst

Salina traffic citation reports fell sharply in the latest week, following a busier stretch in mid-July.

The latest seven-day average was 3.1 reported citations per day, down from 7.7 the prior week and well below the broader average this year. 

That pattern is more important than the percentage change. Citation counts are volatile, and a zero day can reflect reporting timing as much as actual enforcement activity. Still, the drop is large enough in raw terms to show a quieter reported week after days such as July 10, when there were 35 citations, and July 15, when there were 13.
