Salina Man Arrested Following Domestic Disturbance Involving Infant
A Salina man was arrested Saturday night following a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of East Iron Avenue.
At approximately 9 p.m. on July 25, officers were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a man and woman.
According to witnesses, a 19-year-old woman was involved in an argument with a man while carrying an infant in a baby carrier. Witnesses reported the man attempted to forcibly pull the child from the woman and attempted to drag the woman into a nearby residence.
Officers contacted the woman and the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Steven Tyson of Salina. Following the investigation, officers determined a domestic disturbance had occurred.
Tyson was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on charges of kidnapping, domestic battery, and child endangerment. Police said he was taken into custody without incident.
