Tescott Woman Injured After Vehicle Leaves Roadway North of Salina
A 19-year-old Tescott woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in rural Saline County.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:49 a.m. in the 5900 block of North Hedville Road, just north of Humbargar Road.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Adrianna Baltazor was driving a red 2009 Nissan Frontier southbound when she apparently fell asleep behind the wheel. The pickup crossed off the east side of the roadway, traveled down a steep embankment, and struck several trees.
Baltazor became trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency responders, who forced open the driver's side door to remove her from the pickup.
She sustained lacerations and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment.
The Nissan Frontier sustained significant damage. The crash remains under investigation.
