Police Investigating Residential Burglary in South Salina
Salina Police are investigating a residential burglary reported Monday evening in the 500 block of South 12th Street.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. on July 27, officers responded to the residence after the homeowner returned and discovered signs of a break-in. According to police, the homeowner entered the residence and found several glass items had been broken.
The homeowner reported that a DVD player, several die-cast metal cars, and multiple bar-style mirrors were missing from the residence. A complete inventory of stolen property was still being compiled at the time of the report.
A neighbor told officers they observed a Black male, believed to be between 50 and 60 years old, leaving the area as the homeowner arrived. The suspect was described as wearing a white shirt, blue basketball shorts, and carrying a large black camping-style backpack.
The investigation remains ongoing.
