Sarah and her family are asking the Salina community to help locate their friendly, tri-colored Australian shepherd mix, who has been missing since July 3.

The dog was adopted from the Salina Animal Shelter in March 2025 when she was just eight weeks old. Since then, she has become a beloved member of Sarah’s family.

She escaped from a fenced yard on Osborn Street at approximately 3 p.m. on July 3. A short time later, someone on Jewell Street found her and posted about the sighting. While they were contacting animal control, she jumped their fence and disappeared again.

That remains the last confirmed sighting.

Sarah has received other calls and possible reports, but none have been verified. She continues searching and hopes someone may recognize the dog, have seen her recently or know where she is being kept.

The dog is described as very friendly and was wearing a pinkish collar when she went missing. She is also microchipped.

Anyone who sees her is asked not to chase her. Try to keep her in sight or safely contained and contact Sarah immediately at 785-577-8674.

For Sarah and her family, this is more than a missing pet. It is an empty place in their home and a family member they are still hoping to bring back.
