Leidig Headed to Sentencing August 6 After Amended Charges in Salina Drug Case

Rylan Benjamin Leidig is scheduled to be sentenced August 6 in Saline County District Court, court records show, after prosecutors filed an amended complaint in a felony drug case that began with his April 2026 arrest.

Leidig was originally charged with 10 counts following an April 6 traffic stop investigated by the Salina Police Department. The original charges included felony distribution of a depressant, driving under the influence of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with several traffic violations.

Court records show an amended complaint has since been filed, replacing the original set of charges. A charge related to failing to have a Kansas drug tax stamp for marijuana or a controlled substance was dismissed July 31.

The sentencing date indicates a resolution has been reached in the case. Salina311 previously reported on the case when charges were first filed in April.
