Salina Public Schools Limits Social Media Interaction Under New State Law

Salina Public Schools (USD 305) announced that the district and its school building social media accounts will no longer respond to comments or direct messages, citing compliance with Kansas House Bill 2299.

Under the change, the district's social media accounts will function as one-way communication channels. Direct messaging features have been turned off across district and school building accounts.

The district is directing residents who need assistance to contact their school building or the district office by phone or email. Contact information is available on the USD 305 website.
