Navaho Ave to Close for Water Main Replacement Starting Aug. 10
A section of Navaho Avenue in Salina will close beginning Monday, August 10, to allow for water main replacement work, according to the City of Salina.
Navaho Avenue north of Pueblo Avenue will be closed, with access from Pueblo Avenue prohibited during the construction period. Navaho Avenue will also be closed to through traffic south of Commanche Avenue. Residents in the affected area will still be able to access their properties from Commanche Avenue.
The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, with a targeted completion date of August 24, 2026, weather permitting. The city said motorists may experience minor delays and advised drivers to avoid the work zone when possible. Barriers will be in place for the safety of workers and the public.
