Escapee Back in Custody Following Salina Arrest
A man who authorities say escaped from court-ordered treatment earlier this year is back in custody following an arrest Wednesday evening in Salina.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers received information at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, that 32-year-old Allen Marlow was at a residence in the 600 block of East Iron Avenue.
Police said officers located Marlow hiding inside a closet at the residence. Marlow allegedly resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody, and a Taser was deployed.
As officers were escorting Marlow from the residence, police allege he attempted to flee and pulled an officer down a set of stairs. The officer suffered a knee injury and was treated at Salina Regional Health Center before being released.
Marlow was subsequently turned over to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Marlow was wanted on multiple failure-to-appear warrants as well as an aggravated escape from custody case stemming from May 18, when he allegedly left a court-ordered treatment facility after being transported there from the Saline County Jail.
Police said Marlow was booked on requested charges that include aggravated escape from custody, felony interference with law enforcement and battery of a law enforcement officer, along with outstanding warrants.
A 29-year-old woman, identified as Chloe Dorian Dixson, was also arrested in connection with the incident. Police allege Dixson assisted Marlow in avoiding apprehension. She was booked on a requested charge of felony obstructing apprehension.
All persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
