MEETS IN SALINA NEXT WEEK.

SWEDISH Y. P. S. OF THE LUTHERAN CHURCH CONVENTION

Several Hundred Visitors Are Expected Here—An Interesting Program Has Been Arranged.

The annual meeting of the Young People’s Society convention of the Salina district will be held in the Swedish Lutheran church here, Thursday, September 3. About seventy delegates are expected and it is possible that there will be several hundred visitors all told. The district comprises the counties of Marion, Dickinson, Saline and part of McPherson. An interesting program has been prepared and it is hoped to make the meeting one of the most enthusiastic held in years. The program follows:

CITY NEWS IN BRIEFS.

Unless there is a stop put to the practice of small boys jumping aboard moving railroad trains in the different railroad yards of Salina there is going to be an accident some day that will cost the life of one or more of these youngsters. Almost every day boys can be seen jumping on and off of moving trains. They seem to think it is lots of fun but it won't be so funny after one or two of them are killed.
