Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Woman at Oxbow Park
A Salina man was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly threatening a woman while she was walking near Oxbow Park.
At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 1, officers responded to the dike area of Oxbow Park following a report of a possibly armed subject making threats.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a 66-year-old Salina woman who reported she had been walking along the dike when an unknown man approached her and stated that he had a gun and was ready to kill. Fearing for her safety, the woman immediately left the area and contacted a person mowing nearby, who then called police.
Officers located the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Connor Mick of Salina. According to police, Mick initially failed to comply with officers' verbal commands. Officers were ultimately able to take him into custody, though he continued to resist.
A search of the area and the suspect did not locate a firearm.
Mick was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of criminal threat and interference with law enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing.
