Salina Sales Tax Distribution Rises 15% In August
Salina received $1,678,012.73 in its August 2026 local sales tax distribution, an increase of $219,000.41, or 15%, from the $1,459,023.32 distributed in August 2025, according to the Kansas Department of Revenue.
The August payment reflects June collections.
Saline County received $2,099,920.56 in the same distribution, up 14.2% from $1,838,936.65 a year earlier.
From January through August, Salina has received $11,966,837.88, up 4.6% from $11,437,457.65 during the same period in 2025. Saline County’s year-to-date total rose to $15,048,719.28, an increase of 4.9%.
