Residential Burglary Reported on East Third Street
Salina Police are investigating a residential burglary reported at a home located at 337 E. Third Street.
According to police, the burglary occurred sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the 2nd while the homeowner was away at work. Investigators believe the suspect or suspects first forced open a garage door before entering the residence through the garage.
Items reported stolen include a 20-inch Husqvarna chainsaw valued at approximately $500, a 22-foot Franklin ladder valued at $300, a 100-foot air hose valued at $60, and an air compressor valued at $129.
The homeowner left the residence around 5:30 a.m. and returned at approximately 1:00 p.m., at which time he discovered the burglary and missing property. Police noted there was a delay between the discovery of the crime and when it was reported to law enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing.
