Salina Man Arrested Following Fight At Kwik Shop
A Salina man was arrested early Sept. 4 following a fight in the parking lot of Kwik Shop, 1727 W. Crawford.
Officers responded to the convenience store at approximately 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of subjects fighting. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 46-year-old male who stated he encountered a known individual, identified as 33-year-old Carlos Valenzuela.
According to the victim, the two men had previous issues with one another and exchanged words before a physical altercation began. During the confrontation, Valenzuela allegedly had wire cutters in his hand and struck the victim, causing small lacerations to the man's arms and chest.
EMS personnel responded to the scene, but the victim declined medical treatment.
Valenzuela was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Saline County Jail on a requested charge of aggravated battery.
