Salina Man Arrested Following Burglary at Masonic Temple
Salina Police arrested a Salina man following a burglary at the Masonic Temple, 336 S. Santa Fe, on the morning of Sept. 3.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the business after an employee arrived at work and encountered a masked male carrying a backpack. The employee reportedly recognized several of her belongings inside the backpack, recovered the items, and contacted law enforcement. The suspect then left the area.
While officers searched the building, a passerby reported seeing a man run south from the property. Officers located the suspect several blocks away and identified him as 37-year-old Colton Dale of Salina. He was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers allegedly located methamphetamine in Dale's possession. Police reported that while at the police department, Dale attempted to strike an officer but did not make contact.
Dale was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated burglary, theft, possession of an opiate, possession of drug paraphernalia, and assault of a law enforcement officer.
