Salina Man Arrested Following Reported Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Incidents
A Salina man was arrested after a woman reported two separate incidents that allegedly occurred during the weekend of Aug. 29 at a residence in central Salina.
On Sept. 5, a female reported that a known associate, later identified as Clayton Sowers, had sexual intercourse with her without her consent. The victim also reported that a day later she and Sowers became involved in an argument during which he allegedly grabbed her and threw her to the ground.
Following an investigation, officers located Sowers and took him into custody without incident.
Sowers was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of rape, domestic battery, and criminal restraint.
