Daisy Found: Salina Dog Located in Denver Is On Her Way Home
A dog reported as being found in Salina, Kansas, and later held at a Humane Colorado shelter in Denver has been reunited with her owner.
The dog, whose name is Daisy, had been listed under Animal ID A1357702 at Humane Colorado's Leslie A. Malone Center after being reported found Sept. 5 in Salina.
Her owner has now been located in Salina, and Daisy is on her way home.
The unusual situation drew attention because Daisy was being held more than 400 miles away from where she was reported found, raising concerns that her owner may not have known to search shelters in Colorado.
It remains unclear how Daisy traveled from Salina to Denver.
The effort to identify her owner was successful, and Daisy is now returning to Salina.
