Salina Woman Arrested Following Disturbance at Coop's Pizzeria

A Salina woman was arrested Wednesday after a disturbance at Coop's Pizzeria, 1219 W. Crawford.

On Sept. 16, officers were dispatched to the business after receiving reports of a woman causing a disturbance and chasing patrons inside the restaurant. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect in the parking lot at 1201 W. Crawford.

According to police, when officers attempted to make contact with the woman, she became aggressive and had to be detained. During the detention, the suspect allegedly kicked a Salina Police Department co-responder who was assisting at the scene, threatened to kill a police officer, and spit at officers.

Police utilized a WRAP restraint device to safely secure the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Nicole L. Hoffschneider of Salina. Following her arrest, Hoffschneider was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for evaluation and treatment before being booked into the Saline County Jail.

Hoffschneider was booked on requested charges of criminal threat, assault on a law enforcement officer, battery, and littering. She was also arrested on an outstanding Saline County warrant for a probation violation.

The Salina Police Department reported that the co-responder who was kicked during the incident did not require medical treatment.
