Saline County Man Arrested After Bicycle Theft in Progress

A Saline County man was arrested Thursday morning after a witness reported a bicycle theft in progress in the 800 block of Sheridan Street.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 17, officers responded to the area after a witness observed an individual take a bicycle from the yard of a residence at 840 Sheridan. The witness continued to monitor the suspect's movements and provided information to responding officers.

Officers located and detained the suspect a short time later. The owner of the bicycle positively identified the recovered bicycle as their property.

The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Logan C. Holtz of Saline County.

Holtz was arrested and booked on requested charges of theft and criminal trespass.
