Asleep at the Wheel set for Dec. 4 at the Stiefel Theatre
Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel will play the Stiefel Theatre in Salina on Friday, Dec. 4.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $39 (plus fees, including sales tax), according to the theatre. Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. through stiefeltheatre.org, or at the box office at 151 S. Santa Fe. The box office number is 785-827-1998.
The Stiefel says Asleep at the Wheel, led by founder and frontman Ray Benson, has released more than 30 albums and won 10 Grammy Awards. The theatre describes the group as continuing to bring Western swing — the tradition associated with Bob Wills — to new audiences while keeping its own sound.
Tickets purchased through the Stiefel are non-refundable. Doors open 1.5 hours before the show.
