Salina Man Arrested Following Violent Domestic Incident

A Salina man was arrested Wednesday night following a reported domestic violence incident at a residence in south Salina.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Sept. 23, officers responded to the residence after a child inside the home called 911 to report an active domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted an adult female victim who reported that a known associate, identified as 31-year-old William Ogozaly, began yelling at her before allegedly striking and kicking her in the head and body.
According to police, Ogozaly also choked the victim and repeatedly threatened to kill her during the incident. Authorities reported that when the child attempted to intervene, the child was also struck. The victim further reported that Ogozaly dragged her through the residence while continuing the assault.
Ogozaly was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
Ogozaly was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges including aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated kidnapping, multiple counts of criminal threat, domestic battery, and battery.
