Salina Man Arrested Following Stalking Investigation

A Salina man was arrested following an investigation into threatening notes left at an apartment complex in south-central Salina.
According to police, officers met with a female resident at approximately 5 a.m. on Sept. 25 after she reported repeated knocking at her apartment door. The woman told officers she could hear someone knocking but was unable to determine who was outside.
Later that afternoon, the woman and her roommates returned home and discovered several notes attached to their apartment door, including notes containing threats. After finding the notes, the residents installed a Ring door camera.
Police reported the residents later had a suspicious interaction with a neighboring resident, identified as 23-year-old Hunter Polak. Following that interaction, another threatening note was discovered on the apartment door.
Officers located Polak and took him into custody. During the investigation, a search warrant was executed at his residence.
Authorities reported recovering marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the search.
Polak was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of three counts of stalking, one count of criminal threat, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.
