Marshall Motor Company Monster Truck Event Returns Oct. 3 for 21st Year

Marshall Motor Company will host its 21st Annual Monster Truck Event on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3550 S. 9th Street in Salina.

The free family event will again feature Hall Brothers Racing, sponsored by Ram Trucks, with the RAMINATOR and RAMUNITION monster trucks on display throughout the day.

The trucks will headline the event’s traditional car-crushing finale at 3 p.m.

Guests will also have the opportunity to take monster truck rides for $5 per person throughout the day, except during the 3 p.m. crush event. All proceeds from the rides will benefit the Salina Marine Detachment’s Christmas Marine Toy Box, which provides Christmas gifts for area children.

Admission is free.

Food will be available from Amanda’s Bakery, along with a Loaded Tea vendor and additional vendors.

“Twenty-one years ago, we started this event with a simple idea: bring families together, give kids a day they’ll remember and do something good for our community,” Marshall Motor Company owner Larry Marshall said. “There’s nothing better than seeing the excitement on a child’s face when those monster trucks come to life.”

Marshall said the charitable component remains an important part of the annual event.

“Knowing that every ride helps the Marines make Christmas a little brighter for local children makes the day even more meaningful,” he said.

General Manager Jason Stroda said the event has become an annual tradition for many families.

“For some kids, it’s their first time seeing a monster truck up close, and for other families, coming to the event has become an annual tradition,” Stroda said. “We love seeing those reactions, hearing the excitement when the trucks fire up and knowing that everyone is here enjoying a day together while supporting a great cause.”

Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early, particularly those interested in taking a monster truck ride or securing a good viewing location for the 3 p.m. car crush.
