Dixie Louise Whaley

Dixie L. (Stephens) Whaley, 91, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She was born August 11, 1935, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, to Stanley and Helen Stephens. Throughout her life, Dixie lived in Salina and Wichita and Denver, Colorado. Dixie was blessed with six sons, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a hardworking woman with a huge love for her family and numerous animals.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Spencer Beavert.

Left to mourn Dixie's passing are her sons, Donald Jr., John and Andrea, Max, Paul and Naomi, and Stephen and Tracy; grandchildren, Donald III, Paul Jr., Trevor, Kamra, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Jordan, Christopher, Caitlin, Zane, and Heather; sister, Alma; half-sister, Linda; and several great-grandchildren and her first great-great grandson who is due in November; as well as many other family and friends.

Cremation was chosen and no services will be planned. There will be an inurnment in Roselawn Cemetery, at a later date.
