The Salina City Commission on October 12 voted 4-0 on a roll call to adopt Ordinance No. 26-11302, which adds single-family attached dwellings as a permitted use in the R-2.5 and R-3 multiple-family residential districts.
The ordinance also sets minimum lot-width and side-yard requirements for those homes, including a 24-foot minimum lot width for attached dwellings and 40 feet on corner lots.
Mayor Hoppock recused himself from the vote.
