City accepting e-waste at Salina Drive-thru Recycling Center

The City of Salina is accepting electronic waste, or e-waste, at the Salina Drive-thru Recycling Center.

E-waste includes old, broken, or unwanted electronics. In general, the center accepts almost anything that has a cord or uses a battery, including computers, monitors, televisions, printers, keyboards, cell phones, chargers, cables, and other small electronic devices. Visitors should keep e-waste separate from other recyclable materials when they arrive.

The center also accepts many everyday recyclable materials, including cardboard, paper, plastic bottles and containers that previously held food or soap, aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles and jars, and other approved items. Typical recyclable materials do not need to be separated before arriving.

The center accepts recycling from all Saline County residents and small businesses. Drivers can remain in their vehicles while staff unload and collect recyclable materials.

The Salina Drive-thru Recycling Center is at 125 W. North St., at the corner of N. Santa Fe Avenue and W. North Street. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on standard city holidays. More information is at salina-ks.gov/sdrc or from Salina General Services at 785-309-5750.
