Salina Man Arrested After Alleged Domestic Battery and Hospital Disturbance
A 26-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning following an alleged domestic battery in the 600 block of W. Iron and additional incidents involving law enforcement and hospital staff.
On October 15, 2026, at approximately 7 a.m., officers responded to the residence after receiving a report of a person acting erratically. Two women told officers that a known associate who had been staying with them, identified as Mason Hibbert, had begun behaving erratically.
During the incident, Hibbert allegedly grabbed one of the women, causing them both to fall to the ground, where he began choking her. The second woman intervened, and both women fled to a neighbor’s residence to contact law enforcement.
Officers attempted to communicate with Hibbert and persuade him to surrender. He eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody. During the arrest, Hibbert allegedly headbutted an officer in the chest. The officer was not injured.
Officers also determined that Hibbert had broken a mirror inside the residence, cutting his hand in the process. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, where he allegedly battered a nurse and spit water at a security guard.
After receiving treatment, Hibbert was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal damage to property, battery of a law enforcement officer, interference with law enforcement and battery.
