Saline County deputies to collect unwanted medications at three Salina sites Oct. 24
Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputies will collect old and unneeded medications at three Salina locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, the sheriff’s office said.
The office is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration for the 31st edition of the national event.
Deputies will be at Dillons, 1235 E. Cloud St., on the patio in front of the pharmacy drive-thru; Walmart, 2900 S. Ninth St., at the south front entrance; and Salina Regional Health Center, 400 S. Santa Fe Ave., at the circle drive.
Syringes, sharps and illicit drugs will not be accepted. Liquid products such as cough syrup should stay sealed in their original container with the cap tightly closed to prevent leaks, according to the announcement.
