Salina South custodian Mark Acheson receives USD 305 October Growing Greatness Award

Mark Acheson, a custodian at Salina South High School, is the October recipient of Salina Public Schools’ Growing Greatness Award, the district announced Wednesday.

The district said Acheson supports students and staff throughout the building and is willing to help with hands-on learning projects even when they create extra work for him. He is often one of the first staff members to arrive in the morning and one of the last to leave in the afternoon, according to the district.

The monthly award is sponsored by Nex-Tech.
