Steven Lee Siler
February 27, 1948 - October 24, 2026
Steven was born February 27, 1948, in Salina, to Thaine Matson Siler and Moyne Irene (Hanes) Siler. From an early age, he possessed a remarkable intellect, a gentle spirit, and an enduring curiosity about the world around him. Thoughtful, kind, and exceptionally open-minded, Steven approached life with a willingness to listen, learn, and embrace new perspectives. Those who knew him admired his wisdom, patience, and unique way of seeing beauty in both people and the world.
A talented craftsman, Steven dedicated 65 years to the art of upholstery as the owner and operator of Quality Upholstery. His work was far more than a profession; it was a lifelong passion and creative calling. With extraordinary skill, attention to detail, and pride in his craftsmanship, he transformed worn and forgotten furniture into beautiful pieces once again. Through his hands, countless items were given new life, reflecting both his talent and his appreciation for preserving what others might overlook.
Steven found great joy in nature, art, flowers, trees, and the simple wonders of everyday life. He embraced spirituality with an open heart, finding comfort in the connection between nature, the soul, and the world around him. His spiritual journey of the Bahai Faith brought him peace, happiness, and a deeper understanding of life's meaning. In his final days, he experienced a profound sense of contentment and serenity that reflected the faith and perspective he had cultivated throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaine and Moyne Siler, and his sister, Cindy Siler.
Survivors include his brother, Jack Siler; his children, Tabatha, Jesse, and Summer; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
