Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening to Burn Down Residence

A 48-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon after allegedly damaging a residence door and threatening to burn the home down with the occupants inside.

On November 2, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in south-central Salina. Two female residents, ages 18 and 48, told officers that Nicholas Bryan, 48, had arrived at the home looking for an acquaintance.

According to the report, Bryan began kicking the residence's door in an attempt to get the person he was looking for to answer. The kicking damaged the door. When the occupants did not answer, Bryan allegedly threatened to burn the residence down with everyone inside.

Bryan was still at the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident.

He was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of criminal threat and criminal damage to property.
