Eaglecrest pancake feed raises $940 for Salina Fire Department fire-safety education

Eaglecrest Retirement Community presented the Salina Fire Department with $940 raised at its second annual pancake feed, the department said.
The pancake feed was held Oct. 3, with free-will donations going to the fire department's Prevention Division. Eaglecrest residents presented the money Nov. 3 during a tour of the new Fire Station 4.
The department said the money will be used to buy public education materials for fire-safety programs. Proceeds from last year's pancake feed helped pay for an inflatable fire-safety education house that traveled to elementary schools across Saline County this year.
