Salina school board to discuss required at-risk accountability plan
The Salina USD 305 Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Staff Education Center, 1511 Gypsum, for its regular meeting.
On the discussion agenda, Shanna Rector will present an overview of how Salina Public Schools will meet a new state At-Risk Accountability Plan requirement beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
Districts must use evidence-based instruction for students eligible for at-risk services, measure academic growth with quantitative data, set clear measurable improvement goals for identified student groups, use at-risk funds for services above and beyond regular instruction, and demonstrate academic improvement for at-risk students.
