Mark Joseph Ringblom
July 22, 1960 - October 14, 2026
Mark Joseph Ringblom, 66, of Abilene, died Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Salina Regional Health Center. He was known as Ring by friends and fellow linemen. He was born July 22, 1960, to Darwin and Mary Ringblom.
He graduated from East De Pere High School in 1978. After high school he worked landscape and construction jobs. In 1984 he began cable TV system construction, then entered the Mountain State Line Construction apprenticeship program and became a journeyman lineman. He later earned Liveline Barehand certification and Linemaster Robotic Arm certification and retired as a member of IBEW Kansas Local 304.
Before retiring, he bought a shop in Kansas and restored and repaired cars, and also took up welding and fabricating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Mary Ringblom. Survivors include his brother, Steve Ringblom, and Steve’s wife, Chelle.
