Kansas Crop Progress Report Shows Harvest Behind Average for Week Ending November 16
The USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service released Kansas crop progress and condition data for the week ending November 16, 2025, reporting 6.9 days suitable for fieldwork.
Topsoil moisture supplies rated 6% very short, 24% short, 67% adequate, and 3% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 7% very short, 21% short, 70% adequate, and 2% surplus.
Winter wheat condition rated 4% very poor, 6% poor, 34% fair, 48% good, and 8% excellent. Winter wheat planted was 95%, near 99% last year and 98% for the five-year average. Emerged was 85%, behind 90% last year, and near 86% average.
Harvest progress showed corn at 92% harvested, behind 99% last year and 97% average.
Soybeans harvested was 91%, behind 98% last year, and near 94% average.
Sorghum harvested was 77%, behind 92% last year and 91% average.
Cotton harvested was 30%, well behind 66% last year and 59% average.
Sunflowers harvested was 74%, behind 92% last year and 90% average.
Pasture and range conditions rated 5% very poor, 9% poor, 31% fair, 49% good, and 6% excellent.
