Guardrail replacement to begin on I-70 in Saline County

The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin replacing guardrails on westbound I-70 over Mulberry Creek in Saline County starting Monday, Nov. 24.

Drivers should expect alternating lane closures that will reduce traffic to a single lane during construction. KDOT anticipates delays of no more than five minutes.

Cooper Construction LLC of Emporia is managing the $75,000 project, which is scheduled for completion by mid-December, weather permitting.

KDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and obey all posted signs in work zones. For updates on highway construction projects across Kansas, visit kandrive.gov or call 511.
