City trash pickup and landfill stay on schedule for Veterans Day; recycling center and hazardous waste site close Nov. 11

City of Salina sanitation crews and the Salina Municipal Solid Waste Landfill will keep their regular schedules on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to a City of Salina General Services release issued Nov. 4.
The Household Hazardous Waste Facility, the Drive-thru Recycling Center and General Services facilities will be closed Nov. 11, the release said. Standard hours at those locations resume Thursday, Nov. 12.
Residents with questions about their sanitation collection schedule or the facilities listed can call General Services at 785-309-5750. Shawn Dunstan, sanitation superintendent, is listed as the contact on the release.
