Salina Police File Charges After Juveniles Linked to Burglary at Juicy’s Vapor Lounge
Salina Police provided an update on a burglary investigation involving Juicy’s Vapor Lounge after officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Gypsum around 7 p.m. following a report from guardians of several juveniles. The guardians contacted police after discovering a large quantity of vape products hidden inside the juveniles’ bedrooms.
Officers made contact with two 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old male identified as Kaden Dayberry. Through interviews and investigation, police determined that Dayberry and the two juveniles were responsible for the burglary at Juicy’s Vapor Lounge that occurred on December 9.
Investigators also learned that the individuals may be connected to additional incidents involving other vape-related businesses, including Smokes for Less and Vape and Cigar, where property damage or attempted burglaries may have occurred. Those incidents remain under investigation.
Dayberry was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property and was booked into the Saline County Jail. The two 17-year-olds were not booked into detention but were formally charged and referred to District Court for burglary and property damage. Police noted that juvenile cases follow a different legal process than adult cases, which can limit detention options.
Authorities confirmed that all individuals were located at the same residence in the 600 block of Gypsum in north Salina. Police stated the guardians recognized the stolen items after seeing news reports about recent burglaries and contacted law enforcement. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges or suspects may be identified.
