Salina City Commission to tour Smoky Hill Museum, discuss possible facility expansion Monday

SALINA (March 9, 2026) – Before Monday’s regular City Commission meeting, commissioners are scheduled to take part in a 2:00 p.m. tour of the Smoky Hill Museum and hold a facility expansion discussion, according to the meeting agenda.

The agenda notes that non-city employees who want access to the museum’s collections storage areas during the tour must provide a government-issued ID to be copied, citing a policy previously approved by the City Commission under Resolution No. 23-0160 (June 12, 2023).
