Chamber Announces Renee Duxler Will Leave CEO Role
The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced May 20 that President and CEO Renee Duxler will leave her position as she pursues a campaign for lieutenant governor.
According to the Chamber board, Duxler will continue serving in her role during June and July under a structure intended to separate Chamber responsibilities from campaign activity.
The board said no part of Duxler’s salary during that period will be covered by public funds received by the Chamber.
During the transition period, Duxler will step away from public-facing responsibilities and focus on internal operations, transition planning, interim leadership, and the search process for the Chamber’s next president and CEO.
The board said Duxler will leave the position regardless of the outcome of the August primary, allowing the Chamber to continue its leadership transition and search process.
The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce said its priorities during the transition are maintaining neutrality, organizational stability, and continued support for economic growth, community development, and workforce advancement in Salina.
