SRH Advisors Office Building Proposed Near Crawford Street and Crawford Place
A new professional office building for SRH Advisors is proposed near the northeast corner of Crawford Street and Crawford Place in Salina.
The Salina Planning Commission is scheduled to consider Application #FPDD26-001 during its Tuesday, June 2 meeting. The application was filed by Charles Renz on behalf of SRH Advisors LLC and requests approval of a final Planned Development District plan for the project.
According to the city agenda packet, the proposed development would include a 6,750-square-foot professional office building on existing vacant lots within the Wilbur Planned Development District. The site is located on a 1.62-acre tract east of Crawford Place, north of Crawford Street and east of Marymount Road.
The project also includes new paved parking areas, sidewalks, landscaping, a driveway entrance from Crawford Place and a possible future 2,200-square-foot covered parking structure.
City staff reports that the final development plan substantially complies with the previously approved preliminary development plan for the site. Staff is recommending approval, with conditions.
Those conditions include requiring the landscaping, sidewalks, circulation, parking, fencing and other site improvements to be completed before the office building is occupied. The project must also be completed in substantial conformance with the approved development plan, landscape plan and building elevation drawings. A building permit would need to be obtained within 18 months of final approval.
The property has historically remained vacant and is part of the Wilbur PDD, which dates back to the early 1980s. The current proposal is for a professional office use, which is allowed under the district’s approved development standards.
The Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in Room 107 of the City-County Building.
