Tom Arpke Sworn In as Saline County Commissioner for District 1

Tom Arpke was sworn in today as the newest member of the Saline County Board of Commissioners. Judge Johnson administered the oath of office at the Saline County courthouse in Salina.

Arpke was selected by the Saline County Republican Party to fill the unexpired District 1 term of former Commissioner Monte Shadwick. He has previously served as a Salina City Commissioner and as a Kansas State Senator.

Arpke assumes his duties on the commission immediately following today's swearing-in ceremony.
