Salina Officials Open Cooling Shelter, Coordinate Storm Cleanup Efforts
In the wake of recent storms and widespread power outages in Salina, KS, local officials are urging residents to reserve 911 calls for genuine fire, medical, or life-threatening emergencies and not to contact the Fire Department for non-emergency needs during the cleanup period.
The Saline County Health Department at 125 W. Elm St. has opened its lobby to the public as a cooling shelter and a location where residents can charge medical devices. The lobby is open until 7 p.m. today. Residents with questions can call 785-826-6600.
