SPD's Newest Officer Competed at NAIA Track Nationals Before Starting

The Salina Police Department has welcomed its newest officer, who delayed his start date to compete at a national athletic championship.

Officer Lott joined SPD after representing Kansas Wesleyan University at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where he placed 17th nationally in javelin.

The department said Lott's achievement, dedication, and work ethic demonstrated at the championships reflect the qualities that make him a strong addition to the force.

Officer Lott officially began his duties with SPD following the competition.
