Major Gift Helps Salina Family Healthcare Center Reach $4 Million Local Fundraising Goal
Salina, KS — Salina Family Healthcare Center has reached its $4 million local fundraising goal, completing the Ted and Almita Augustine Donor Advised Fund match challenge and marking a major milestone for the organization’s ongoing expansion of healthcare access in the Salina region.
The local fundraising effort helped unlock a $1 million gift from the Augustine family, increasing the overall impact of the campaign.
A $500,000 pledge from the Robert and Aileen Button Fund played a key role in helping SFHC complete the challenge. The gift was made by Damon Button, who grew up in Salina, in honor of his parents, Robert and Aileen Button, longtime Salina residents.
“The Robert and Aileen Button Fund is privileged to support an organization and newly built facility which will have such a positive impact on so many Salina area residents,” the fund stated.
SFHC said the fundraising milestone reflects months of support from local individuals, families, businesses, and community partners who contributed to the effort.
The Greater Salina Community Foundation helped facilitate the Augustine match, which supports the family’s goal of expanding healthcare access for Kansas families.
“The Augustine family has become a large part of Salina Family Healthcare Center’s story,” said Dr. Robert Kraft, CEO of Salina Family Healthcare Center. “Their generosity will impact the lives of hundreds of area families and thousands of families across the state. We cannot thank them enough.”
Salina Family Healthcare Center provides integrated care across several areas, including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, eye care, outreach, and other supportive services.
The organization serves individuals and families throughout north central Kansas and says its long-term vision is to expand access to core healthcare services, strengthen healthcare training opportunities, and support physician residency programs focused on rural Kansas.
