Four Local Athletes Compete in 2026 Kansas Shrine Bowl
Four local athletes represented their schools and community in the 53rd Kansas Shrine Bowl on Saturday, June 27th at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas.
Salina South's Jaxon Myers (#18), Southeast of Saline's Brody Chambers (#75), and Salina Central's Jesus Delgado (#44) and Cooper Reves (#21) were among 88 high school athletes selected to compete in the prestigious all-star game. They represented the West team, which fell to the East, 14–7. Despite the loss, Cooper Reves was named the West team's Most Valuable Player.
Where They're Headed
Jaxon Myers (Salina South) played wide receiver and will continue his football career at Garden City Community College.
Brody Chambers (Southeast of Saline) competed as a defensive lineman and plans to play football at Grand View University.
Jesus Delgado (Salina Central) represented the Mustangs as a linebacker and will play football at Butler Community College.
Cooper Reves (Salina Central) showcased his skills as a running back but will focus solely on wrestling at Northern Iowa.
The Kansas Shrine Bowl annually brings together the state's top high school football talent while raising funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
