Volunteers Needed for Full Scale Exercise
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
SALINA AIRPORT AUTHORITY
FULL SCALE EXERCISE
September 15th, 2026 @ 1:30pm North Ramp
The Salina Airport Authority will be executing their full-scale exercise which happens every three years. This is a simulation of an aircraft accident which will give emergency responders a chance to practice their response to an actual accident at the airport.
A fuselage will be used as a prop for victims, along with a simulated MAFT trainer for the fire fighters and we are needing volunteers to play “victims”.
Role of a victim: victim will lay on the ground around or in a fuselage and will be given a card with symptoms that they will act out. Once EMS arrives, they will begin triage. A few victims will ride in ambulances or vans to be taken to the hospital; others will be at the terminal as family members. Volunteers will need to report before 1:00pm.
REQUIREMENTS: Wear older clothes as participants will be encouraged to apply moulage for their acting parts.
