Salina Airport Authority Names Jamie Doss-Boos Director of Administration and Finance

The Salina Airport Authority has appointed longtime Saline County official Jamie Doss-Boos as its new director of administration and finance.

Doss-Boos will join the Airport Authority on September 14 after a 29-year career with Saline County. She has served as Saline County clerk and election officer since 2017, overseeing elections, records management, budgeting and tax rolls, public services, statutory compliance and staff development.

She previously served as deputy county clerk and election officer from 2011 to 2017 and worked for 14 years in the Saline County Appraiser's Office.

“Jamie brings extensive public-sector experience, strong financial and administrative skills, and a proven record of leadership and service to Saline County,” Salina Airport Authority Executive Director Pieter Miller said. “Her knowledge of local government, budgeting, statutory compliance, and stakeholder engagement will be a tremendous asset to the Airport Authority.”

Doss-Boos will succeed Shelli Swanson, who is retiring after 30 years with the Airport Authority. The two will work together during a transition period before Doss-Boos assumes the position's full responsibilities.

As director of administration and finance, Doss-Boos will join the authority's executive leadership team and oversee budgeting, long-range financial planning, accounting and financial reporting, grant administration, risk management, insurance programs and statutory compliance. She will also advise the executive director and work with the Airport Authority's board and department leaders.

Doss-Boos currently serves as vice chair of the Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials Association and chairs its Legislative Committee. Her professional credentials include Kansas Certified Election Administrator, Certified Elections Registration Administrator, Master Certified County Clerk, Certified County Clerk and a MiniMPA Professional Certificate from Wichita State University.
